About Me

Hi, I’m Julie, a dedicated mental health professional with over a decade of experience working with adolescents and young adults!

I have been working in teen and young adult mental health for over 10 years in settings including schools, mental health treatment centers, and nonprofit organizations. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy, regardless of diagnosis, and am especially passionate about the mental health needs of emerging and young adults (ages 13-40) as they navigate the many stressors associated with these life stages.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am dedicated to promoting diversity and creating a safe space for people of all backgrounds where you are the expert on your own individual experiences. Together, you and I will set goals, consider tools, and delve into the self-understanding necessary to help you achieve your desired outcomes. I integrate techniques from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help teens and adults navigate various life experiences and challenges.

While I myself am queer, I enjoy working with people of all genders and sexualities. I operate from a feminist lens which considers both the individual struggle and the larger societal context in which it occurs, and strive to create a safe space for people of color, neurodivergent people & folks with disabilities, the kink and non-monogamous community, the fat & body positivity community, furries, and nerds of all kinds!
